A Little Whine With Dinner

Bright lights, fancy sets, enthusiastic audiences, and dramatic music…

Famous chefs yelling at young wanna-be chefs, while friends and family watch…

Clever editing, leading into commercials, meant to keep television audiences on the edge of their seats…

Intense cooking scenes, punctuated by sentimental music and moments when “contestants” reveal tender background stories, or pull out pictures of relatives long-deceased, all designed to incite an emotional response…

I have become fascinated by Master Chef. I’ll admit, I’m hooked now. Just get to the end already!

But…I will always long for Julia Child as “The French Chef”, and Graham Kerr as “The Galloping Gourmet”.

Just show me how to cook a dish in a delightfully entertaining manner. Drink, joke, fall down.  It’s all good.  I already have enough stress in my life.
