Shellyfish

A jellyfish dangles from my ceiling

in front of the half-moon window

with the shade to block the light, but not really.

I rescued her from a shop in Galveston

that sold ashtrays and t-shirts and keychains.

She misses the sea

so she plays seashell music in the breeze.

She keeps me awake, but not really.
