Peace

You know all those amazing filters on Instagram and Snapchat that make your sunsets look even more amazing and your face look younger?

Why can’t someone invent a filter for Facebook that instantly filters out hate and ignorance?

I would really love to be able to read a post, and not have to scroll through thousands of angry idiots yelling at one another in the comments section.

What has happened to respect, tolerance, kindness and decency? Is it really too much to ask to have an intelligent conversation within the confines of social media?

Here’s a question: In the history of ever, has anyone been insulted into changing their mind? “Gee, that complete stranger called me a REALLY bad name, and used LOTS of vile descriptives…I guess I must have been wrong!”

Nope.

People don’t have to agree. In fact, what a boring world this would be if they did!

It’s just so exhausting spending so much time filtering out the hate, ignorance and negativity.

I’m going to leave this quote right here:

“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.” – Mahatma Gandhi

  1. Basically:
If we all follow the rules we learned in kindergarten it’d be a better place
    – take turns
    – be kind
    – share

And the true joy and excitement little kids get would be icing on the cake 🙂
