Hi! I'm Sandi! Turn-ons: I enjoy sushi, kittens, long walks on the beach, and fancy words with more than three syllables. Turn-offs: Bad drivers and people who don't know the difference between "your" and "you're"; "there", "they're" and "their"; ""to" and "too"; "lose" and "loose"... wait, this isn't a dating site? Sigh... I have enjoyed writing all of my life. My 5th grade teacher, Mr. Taylor (RIP), was the first person who told me I had a knack for it, and encouraged me to keep it up. At the time, I was writing poetry and children's stories. Two English teachers in high school also nudged me in the direction of creative writing. Until the birth of social media, I only wrote for myself or sent stories to family members via email. It wasn't until Facebook that I truly began to get into it. The feedback was so positive, that I began to wonder if I could actually introduce myself as "A Writer" someday. Fast-forward 10 years, and my friends and family began to wonder if someday would ever happen. Positive feedback and gentle nudging became outright demanding, and the best of friends took me out for coffee, drinks, and to lunch with the sole purpose of kicking my butt into gear. With the help of my tech-savvy daughter, I decided that creating a blog would be the perfect jumping-off place. If I land on my ass, I figure it will at least give me something interesting to write about...
